Looking and Seeing was filmed over several days during the recent exhibition of paintings by Francisco de Zurburan at the National Gallery in London. I was interested in the different ways people looked at the work as well as, on a formal level, the way the block colours of the visitors’ played off against Zurburan’s vibrant colour choices in the paintings.
